Military Web Wars Website of the Year 2000
in Essex in 1951, I live in North West Kent with my wife
Michele and two sons Anthony & Jamie.
I became interested in the WWII bomber campaign in my late teens and started casually researching the subject. After almost 30 years collecting information, I was able to start the mammoth task of bringing everything together with the purchase of my first computer in 1996. I regularly spend up to 60 hours a week researching for my database in addition to my full time work.
I am now compiling a database which I hope will eventually log the service history of every Bomber that flew with Bomber Command, the operations in which it was involved, details of any published photograph of the individual aircraft, along with the details of the ultimate fate of the aircraft and the final resting place or memorial location of every aircrew member that made the ultimate sacrifice.
My research was originally concentrated on the Avro Lancaster which formed the bulk of this website, but I have now expanded to cover all types of bomber that flew as part of Bomber Command and my database currently stands at almost 30,000 aircraft.
I am always pleased to receive any information of any nature, about any aircraft or aircrew that flew with Bomber Command during WWII, and wish to publicly thank the many friends I have made during my quest, for the help they have all so willingly given.
Please E-Mail me with any Bomber Command related questions, suggestions, or information you have that you think I may be interested in. Thank you!
