Bombs and Barbed Wire

Pub: Sage Pages ……………Wilf Hodgson…………...ISBN

Paperback 108 Pages

Whilst sailing home to his native Australia during August 1945, a journey which took several weeks, Wilf Hodgson passed his time by writing about his three years wartime experiences as a navigator / bomb aimer flying in Stirlings with 90 Squadron.

Wilf covers in detail, his training and his service with Bomber Command, being shot down over France in May 1944, his attempt to evade capture and finally his time as a 'Guest of the Third Reich'.

This book contains many good illustrations and copies of original documents and is written in a very frank and honest manner.

Sadly, I am informed that Wilf Hodgson passed away in May 2001, this book is his legacy.
