BK703 was shot down by a night-fighter on the night of 28-29/06/43 whilst on an operation to Cologne and crashed at Nertersel (near Eindhoven) with the loss of all crew. The people of Nertersel placed a stone at the crash-site in June 2004 in the presence of relatives of the crew-members. BK703 is pictured here bombed up on it's dispersal prior to going on ops.
The crew are buried together in Collective Grave 47-49 in Woensel General Cemetery at Eindhoven
