Boulogne 30-31/05/1944
This Aiming Point photograph, taken from F/Sgt Whitehouse's Lancaster on the night of 30-31 May 1944 from a height of 8,000 feet. The bomb load comprised 7 x 1000 lb and 4 x 500 lb bombs. The dark area in the bottom right corner is Boulogne Harbour. Many buildings and roads can be seen. Also another Lancaster can be seen flying a few thousand feet below.
